Core Technology

Dual-Sensor Edge AI Integration


An onboard Edge AI model processes real-time data from water pressure and 9-axis IMU sensors to automatically detect water immersion and fall-overboard incidents while minimizing false alarms.

Multi-GNSS Positioning & Smart Relay


Ensures precise tracking in any ocean. Location data is relayed to the onshore center via vessel Starlink (RF model, up to 6.2 mi) or direct cellular connection (LTE model, up to 18.6 mi).

Monitoring platform integration


Upon receiving a distress signal, alerts are propagated instantly to the monitoring center, relevant agencies, and nearby vessels

Technical Details 
Awcall consists of two core components: the Device and the MOB Monitoring Platform.

AI-Powered MOB Devices & Onboard Receiver 


AwCall combines Edge AI-based incident detection, GNSS positioning, and adaptive communication in two MOB models. In marine test conditions, both models achieved 95% incident-recognition accuracy within five seconds by cross-analyzing motion from a nine-axis IMU and immersion changes from a pressure sensor. 

RF MOB 


Transmits incident and GNSS location data over 924 MHz RF up to approximately 6.2 miles to the onboard receiver. The receiver immediately activates visual and audible alerts for nearby crew and relays the information ashore through the vessel’s Starlink connection. It can also monitor multiple MOB units and detect abnormal vessel motion and immersion.

LTE MOB 


Sends incident and GNSS location data directly to the monitoring server over LTE up to approximately 18.6 miles, without requiring an onboard receiver. This model is optimized for solo fishers and vessels without dedicated relay equipment.

Integrated Monitoring & Rescue Coordination 


The connected monitoring platform displays incident type, MOB and vessel information, GNSS location, communication status, and response details in real time. It enables operators to identify the person or vessel in distress and make faster reporting and rescue-dispatch decisions.
Depending on the deployment model, incident data can be configured for direct delivery to maritime rescue authorities or integrated with a customer-operated platform used by local governments, fisheries cooperatives, vessel operators, and maritime safety agencies.

Solo & Older Fishers / Small-Vessel Crews


The RF MOB detects fall-and-immersion incidents and sends GNSS location data over 924 MHz up to 6.2 miles to the onboard receiver. The receiver activates visual and audible alerts and relays the incident ashore through Starlink.

Government & Maritime Safety Integration 


The platform displays incident type, user and vessel information, and GNSS location in real time. Data can be sent directly to maritime rescue authorities or integrated with systems operated by governments, fisheries cooperatives, and vessel operators.

Aquaculture, Port & Coastal Workers 


The LTE MOB sends incident and GNSS data directly to the monitoring server over LTE up to 18.6 miles, without an onboard receiver. Compatibility with existing life jackets supports fish farms, ports, and other nearshore workplaces.

Anglers, Yachts & Recreational Boats 


Users can select LTE for direct shore transmission or RF for onboard alerts and Starlink relay, depending on operating distance and vessel configuration. Automatic detection supports faster response when manual SOS activation is difficult.
